JUSTIN BOLDON
ARCHITECTURAL DESIGNER | B.ARCH CAL POLY POMONA
I am an enthusiastic and dedicated Architectural Designer with a Bachelor of Architecture degree from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona (2021). Originally from Virginia Beach, Virginia, my passion for architecture began early in my high school years. I attended the Advanced Technology Center, where I became certified in Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD, and secured my first internship at TS3 Architects. There, I played a key role in transitioning the office from AutoCAD to Revit and supported various aspects of design, material libraries, and technical drafting.
At Cal Poly Pomona, I furthered my architectural expertise, expanding my knowledge and skills across all areas of the profession. I gained proficiency in different softwares such as Autodesk Revit, Rhino, Adobe Illustrator, and InDesign. My academic projects combined both creative design with technical precision, using Rhino and Revit to bring originality and professionalism together. During my studies, I completed my second internship at ONYX Architects in Pasadena, where I worked on early-stage design and project coordination for various mixed-use and multi-family residential projects across Southern California.
After graduating, I advanced my career as a Junior Architect at Bittoni Architects in Los Angeles, gaining hands-on experience across all phases of project development. I contributed to residential and mixed-use projects by focusing on design refinement, building envelope strategies, and technical documentation to ensure compliance with building codes, ADA, and Green Building standards. Additionally, I collaborated with rendering companies to create renderings for design intent presentations, helping clients and city officials better understand and engage with the design vision. My ability to manage complex project requirements, adapt to shifting priorities, and maintain a high level of attention to detail has allowed me to produce successful deliverables.
Throughout my career, I have developed strong ability to problem-solve and adapt to a variety of project types, with an expertise in residential, mixed-use, and small commercial projects. I am skilled at balancing creative solutions with technical execution, and I excel in collaborative environments where different perspectives come together to create unique and functional designs. With ten years of experience in the architecture field—ranging from my high school internships to my professional role—I am eager to continue learning and contributing to the design of meaningful spaces.
